Our story

Born in Arusha. Curious about all of Tanzania.

We created Indigo for travellers who want more than a package pulled from a shelf. Our role is to listen closely, understand what matters and connect the right places without rushing between them.

Indigo Afrikan Adventures Ltd is registered in Tanzania and based in Arusha, the natural starting point for the northern safari circuit and many mountain adventures.

Responsible travel

Leave the story stronger.

We prefer longer relationships with guides and suppliers, sensible group sizes, fair crew practices and wildlife viewing that does not crowd or pressure animals.

  • Ethical porter loads and crew welfare
  • Private vehicles that respect sighting space
  • Locally owned partners where possible
  • Practical refill and waste-reduction guidance

Common questions

Before we start planning

These are the first things most travellers ask. Your planner will cover the details for your exact route.

Are your trips private?

Most Indigo journeys are private. Selected calendar dates may be offered as small-group departures.

Can you combine safari, hiking and Zanzibar?

Yes. Connecting different parts of Tanzania smoothly is one of the main reasons to plan locally.

When should I book?

Six to twelve months ahead is useful for popular seasons, but we can often create excellent trips with less notice.

Where are you based?

Plot no. 160, House no. 22, PPF Njiro, Arusha, Tanzania.
